This Privacy Policy explains how Mystic Tuna Studios ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use Bookeet (https://bookeet.app), the booking platform (the "Service"). We are the data controller for the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Data we collect
Business owners who create an account: email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), and the business profile you enter (name, description, logo, photos, contact details, services, availability).
Customers who make a booking: name, email address, phone number (optional), and any notes or booking details you provide. This information is shared with the business you are booking with so they can fulfil your request.
We also process limited technical data (e.g. approximate country from IP address, used to pre-fill the phone country code) and cookies necessary to keep you signed in.
2. How we use data
- To operate the Service — create and manage accounts, business pages, and bookings.
- To send transactional emails (booking requests, confirmations, account emails).
- To secure the Service and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your personal data.
3. Legal bases (GDPR)
We process personal data to perform our contract with you (providing the Service), on the basis of legitimate interests (security, service improvement), and to comply with legal obligations.
4. Processors we use
We rely on trusted third parties who process data on our behalf:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
- Resend — sending transactional email.
- Vercel — application hosting.
5. Data retention
We keep account and booking data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your business profile, services, availability, and bookings are permanently removed.
6. Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can delete your account and associated data at any time from your dashboard, or contact us at hello@bookeet.app.
7. International transfers
Our processors may store or process data outside your country. Where they do, they rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
